Our GMR series range of metal clad wire wound resistors also known as aluminium housed resistors are available in power ratings ranging from 5 watts to 250 watts (Note: we can also offer our SMRH range of high power metal clad resistors – data here). The GMR series offer small physical size, rugged construction and high stability make them ideal for many applications including:
- D.C. motor control
- Braking resistors
- Audio Amplifiers
A non-inductive version of these resistors is available making them suitable for radio frequency applications. Note: All the above ratings are based on mounting on an appropriate heat sink.
